Getting around campus

University buses provide convenient transportation between different parts of campus. The purple line connects the Nathan Hale Inn, Austin Hall, and Storrs Center. Bus schedules and a live tracker are available online.

Air

The closest airport to the University of Connecticut campus is Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford. Transportation to and from the airport is provided by the UConn Airport Shuttle (reservations and credit card payments, $60 one way, are required ahead of time and credit card payments must be processed by phone), by Lindsey Limousine, or by taxi (about $90 one way).

The University is about 1.5 hours from Boston Logan (BOS) airport, and about 2.5 hours away from New York area airports, John F. Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark International Airport (EWR). Transportation is provided by Peter Ban Bus.

Bus and Train

Hartford Union Station (HFD) is served by Amtrak, with connections to New York and Boston via New Haven. Union Station also has bus connections to New York and Boston on Peter Pan Bus and Megabus.

Transportation between Union Station and campus is provided by the UConn Amtrak Shuttle and by Peter Pan Bus.

Car

From New York City and points west, heading through or from Hartford, take Interstate 84 East to Exit 68. From the exit, take a right onto Route 195, and continue 7 miles to the University.

From Boston and points east, take Interstate 84 West to Exit 68. From the exit, take a left onto Route 195, and continue 7 miles to the University.
